  • In addition to helping you to define your ideal sales profile, (skills, experience, personality traits, and qualifications), we craft a compelling employer brand and value proposition, highlight what makes your company unique, what benefits and incentives you offer, and what career opportunities you provide .

    We then use multiple sourcing channels, such as job boards, social media, referrals, industry events, recruiting software, and professional relationships to reach out to potential candidates on your behalf.

  • Many searches that are commonly referred to as contingent searches are what we call Core searches. Core searches work well for roles like account executives, outside sales reps, and sales development reps, where the talent pool is active and performance is easier to evaluate early.

    Some roles require more structure. Difficult-to-fill, specialized, or business-critical positions often benefit from additional commitment, longer guarantees, and tighter alignment throughout the process. In those cases, a Strategic or fully Retained search may be the better fit.

The best approach depends on the importance of the position, the competitiveness of the market, and the level of structure your team wants.   • SalesFirst Recruiting offers direct hire recruiting, contract staffing, and temp-to-hire services.

    We almost always recommend direct hire for sales professionals and leaders, and we’ll help you pick the right service when hiring for sales support or marketing professionals.

  • SalesFirst is always free for candidates. We never charge job seekers. Our services are paid for by employers.

    We offer three types of direct hire services and two types of contract-based services.

    Direct hire services

    All direct hire services are priced as a percentage of a candidate’s guaranteed first-year income. Fees typically range from 20 percent to 30 percent, with 25 percent being the most common. The difference between the three options is the level of structure, commitment, and guarantee tied to the search.

    Core Search
    This is our most common direct hire service and is often what companies think of as “contingent” recruiting. There is no down payment, and the fee is paid only if you hire a candidate we introduce. Core searches include a 90 day guarantee and are well suited for roles like account executives, outside sales reps, and sales development roles.

    Strategic Search
    Strategic searches include a down payment but do not require exclusivity. They carry a 180 day guarantee and are designed for harder-to-fill or higher-impact roles that benefit from more upfront alignment and longer protection.

    Executive Search
    Executive searches include a down payment and full exclusivity. These searches come with a 365 day guarantee and are used for critical leadership or highly specialized roles that require dedicated focus and long-term alignment. Any down payment is applied toward the final placement fee upon hire.

    All direct hire searches include a full account credit and a pro-rated cash refund option, tied to the guarantee period of the search.

    Contract and temporary services

    Contract staffing
    SalesFirst employs the professional on our own payroll and bills the client an hourly rate for the duration of the assignment.

    Temp-to-hire
    This works similarly to contract staffing, with the option for the client to convert the professional to a full-time hire under agreed terms.

    The vast majority of our advice is free, and we also offer paid workshops.

  • We are generally open Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm. And recruiters tend to work flexible hours to make themselves available to candidates and clients.
